News of our Firm

Sonja N. Aoun has been with the Law Firm five years. She recently celebrated her third year of practicing law in the Commonwealth of Virginia. In March 2004, Sonja became a full Member of the Law Firm. Becoming a Member carries the same prestige as becoming a Partner. The Camaur Law Firm, P.C. is a Virginia professional corporation and as such the term Member is designated instead of Partner.

Jennifer Stanford our fabulous law clerk, graduated from George Mason University School of Law in Arlington on May15th. Jennifer sat for the Virginia State Bar in July and received notice that she passed the Bar this October. Jennifer is now an Associate Attorney with the Law Firm.

James W. Porter joined our team as an Associate Attorney on February 26, 2004. Jim graduated from George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia in May of 2003. Before law school, Jim received a B.A. in English from George Mason University.

Jim enjoyed a career as a carpenter for many years before beginning college – a career which took him quite literally to the ends of the Earth. Over a period of eighteen years, he spent a total of 84 months in Antarctica. The last time he worked there, he spent an entire year at the geographic South Pole.

Soon after returning home to Fairfax County from that experience, he met his bride-to-be, Amy Farrell. Now, when Jim isn’t immersed in his work at The Camaur Law Firm, he spends treasured time with Amy and their three-year-old son, Tommy.
