David E. Bateman is an associate with Rathbun & Goldberg, P.C. He handles a wide variety of civil litigation, with particular emphasis on real estate disputes, lender rights and collections, business contracts and torts, and domestic relations. While he is passionate about litigation, he understands that his clients’ goals are sometimes best achieved through thoughtful and effective negotiation. The combination of David’s education and experience maximizes his efficacy both in and outside the courtroom.
David is a cum laude graduate of Brigham Young University, where he majored in German with an emphasis in literature. While at Brigham Young University, he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and Golden Key International Honour Society. David earned his law degree (Juris Doctor), cum laude, from Regent University Law School. While attending law school, David clerked for the Supreme Court of Virginia and was a senior staff editor for the Regent University Law Review. David also served on the school’s trial advocacy board and national competition team. David and his team won the American Bar Association’s 2005 Labor and Employment Law Student Trial Advocacy Competition.
David earned his master’s degree (LL.M), with highest honors, from George Washington University, where he focused his study on litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
