Our FeesKales & Kales, PLC charges clients based on an hourly rate. Our attorneys' hourly rates* are as follows:
Jonathan L. Kales $ 250.00
Amy Grillo Kales
$ 200.00
Initial consultations are billed at our regular hourly rates.
* Rates are subject to change without notice.
In traditional litigation and collaborative law cases, we will require an advance fee. The amount of this fee, commonly referred to as a "retainer," will be determined by an attorney during your initial consultation, based on our assessment of the complexity and nature of your case. This fee is deposited into a trust account with our firm.
Each month, you will receive a detailed bill indicating the work we have done on your behalf. At that time, we will withdraw the amount owed to the firm as indicated on your bill from your trust account. You will be required to replenish your "retainer" and maintain the advance fee balance in your trust account throughout our representation.
In addition to legal fees, some costs will be incurred on your behalf and you are responsible for these costs, such as delivery charges, postage, photocopying costs, and facsimile charges. These costs will be included on your bill each month. You may be requested to pay third parties or expert witnesses directly.
Mediation clients are charged an hourly fee payable at the end of each mediation
session. There is no Representation Agreement as Kales & Kales, PLC serves as
a third party neutral and represents neither party involved in the mediation
process.
